Designer

Position Summary:

We can say a lot of the same things most other design job posts say, but we’ll keep it simple.

We’re looking for a designer to join the crew. But it’s not just any designer. We’re looking for you. The one who is meticulous, creative and fun to work with. The one who’s done with the 80 hr. work weeks, unreasonable deadlines and silly budgets. The one who’s tired of the egos and just wants to get to work on solving client’s problems. Oh yes, and let’s not forget! The one who loves dogs, food and traveling.

Expectations:

  • You approach design challenges with strong concepts, sophisticated aesthetic and impeccable typography.
  • You understand how to build, strengthen and maintain new brands and support existing ones.
  • You love the web and have a strong understanding of UX/UI principles.
  • You have excellent communication, presentation and relational skills (i.e. you’re nice).
  • You’re a team player that understands good design doesn’t happen in a vacuum.
  • You value and respect clients and seek collaborative opportunities for creative work (even when they ask to make the logo bigger).
  • You’re constantly looking to improve your craft and keep up with design industry news.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of design experience (preferably in an agency setting)
  • Acute attention to detail and must be able to work on multiple simultaneous projects and timelines
  • Strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Sketch, AfterEffects are a bonus)
  • Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and Javascript and always champion best practices
  • BA or BFA in a design-related field is required

Benefits:

  • Health and dental insurance
  • 401(k) with 4% match vested immediately
  • Professional development budget
  • Generous PTO (that you can actually use)
  • Dogs! (Need we say more?)

If this sounds like you, we invite you to email us at careers@perspectivelab.com and tell us a bit about yourself and why you’d like to work with us. Keep it simple – that’s how we like things. Include a link to your portfolio (please don’t send us any attachments). Also, please don’t call. It makes things awkward.

No recruiters or staffing companies please. This is an immediate opening for a full-time position. This post will be taken down when we find the right person, so if you’re reading this, we’re still looking.
